Severstal, the Russian Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, Rosprirodnadzor and the Vologda region sign cooperation agreement for ecological development
In preparation for the 2017 Year of Ecology in Russia, PAO Severstal, the Russian Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, the Federal Service for Supervision of Natural Resources Management and the Government of the Vologda region signed a quadripartite agreement. Signatories included Vadim Larin, CEO of Severstal, Sergei Donskoi, the Minister of Natural Resources and Environment of the Russian Federation, Artem Sidorov, Head of Rosprirodnadzor, and Oleg Kuvshinnikov, Governor of the Vologda region. The ceremonial signing took place on the premises of the Ecotech international exhibition-forum, in Moscow.
Severstal opens Cherepovets Metallurgy Museum
PAO Severstal, one of the world's leading vertically integrated steel and steel-related mining companies, opened a new Metallurgy Museum in Cherepovets. At the opening ceremony the ceremonial ribbon was cut by Alexey Mordashov, Chairman of the Board of directors of Severstal, Oleg Kuvshinnikov, Governor of Vologda region and Yuri Kuzin, Mayor of Cherepovets.
Severstal Introduces Further Major Environmental Initiatives
Cherepovets Steel Mill, one of the world’s largest integrated steel mills and part of the Russian Steel division of OAO Severstal, one of the world’s leading steel and steel-related mining companies, announced that it is to invest around 2.2 billion rubles in its environmental programme for 2014.
